Review: Im Abseits der Lichter by Lina Kaiser

Rating: 4/5 stars

Cover: Very fitting

Review: Sadly there is no english copy of this book as of now, so you have to be able to understand german to read it. If you do or if there is ever an english edition… read it!

I didn’t like Tinka at first, but that soon changed. She is a very real character and her insecurities were so well written, I felt them myself. And the romance part of this book? Oh my gosh, it was so cute! So very, very cute without being too much or unbelievable. There is some high school drama in this book and a lot of stereotypes. Usually I don’t like it. The stereotypes I mean. But in this case they had a right to be there and they weren’t shown as being right. Honestly I think they were being made fun of.

While this book is as I said, really cute, I have to add triggers: Alcohol, homophobia, a boy doesn’t like the word no at first.

You can buy or sample it here or here.

I was provided a free copy by Butze Verlag in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.
